Animal Lovers
I admit I'm an animal lover. I'm glad I have a friend that loves animals as much as I do - Huda. You go girl! Today, we were on a mission to give 3 dogs food to eat.
At assembly, Huda said she saw 3 dogs at the school field. Then I was curious about it. So, when we were in class, I saw the dogs, adult dogs. I thought of helping them. I saw them running, chasing each other. Playing happily at the field, they don't look hungry to me but I was eager to feed them. It would break my heart to see dog catchers coming and taking them away. I swear I'll call the SPCA if anyone mistreat animals which are like my life!
In class, I was thinking of buying a few pieces of chickens from the canteen. I'm worried that the canteen will not sell pieces of chicken by itself. So, when the bell rang, I ran down with Umaira to check out the canteen. Umaira asked if they sell pieces of chicken. I was so delighted to hear that they sell! So I bought 2 which brought a total of RM 3.20. Chicken is the only food that satisfies a dog. I cannot be buying fishball or mushroom. My money would be wasted!
Anyway I waited for Huda to come so we can go together. She was the only kind-hearted girl that would offer herself to help animals. Very nice to have people like her :) . So, very surprising, something that shocks me was Huda also want to buy chicken for the dogs! WOOOW! How great! Oh my my, are you seriousss...???? HAHA! You would waste RM1.60 for the dogs? Awww, so good! I love it! So, I bought 2 pieces, Huda bought 1. No other human being will ever want to waste RM1.60 for strays. So selfish. Anyway, I sacrifice my recess money for the dogs, I didn't eat anything for recess. However, I only felt a little hungry. Not as hungry as I usually be! That was weird..... I was kind of disappointed because the rest of my friends has no interest at all in this. They didn't even bothered or cared to follow. ZZZ. Oh, people these days...
We made our way to the field. It was blazing hot out there. The UV rays is really threatening. LOL:) I can see the dogs lying underneath the trees. Since we can't get throw the meat across. Huda and I decided to take the risks. We went over the fence, oh my my, I lifted up my skirt , it was a little high to get over it. My legs are exposed -.-. Anyway, Huda blocked me so no one can see. I went over to the trees. The dogs, thought I was a dog catcher or something threatening, they barked and ran away. Far enough. I was so down. Then, we left the pieces of chicken under the tree and climb back over the fence to get into the school compound. I bet the afternoon students that was practising their 'thing' saw us. Lol.
We went back into class to see the dogs. They almost left the school field. They were nearing the gate. I was calling God to turn things round and make the dogs change their direction. And they did! Thank GOD! Praise HIM! But, the distance between the chicken and the dogs are so far. I wondered how are they gonna get the food. As far as I know, dog's sense of smell is very strong. They can detect any strange smell from a distance. But I thought maybe they are old, and starting to lose their sense of smell, so they find it hard to detect the smell of food.
Lessons in class went on, I waited, minutes after minutes I kept gazing out the glass window. Asking Sarannya and Syakirah to help to check on the dogs. Oh. The dogs remain at the same place. I was frustrated. After a while they were quite close but still far enough to detect the food. Anyway, reaching the end of the lesson, I finally jumped happily as I saw the dogs nearing the tree and ate the food that we placed there. I quickly bang Huda's table and just kept telling ''LOOK!!! THE DOGS!! THE DOGS!!!'' OH.. I was happy all over.
We didn't waste our money. Yay! I was happy. So as Huda. No one cares about it at all except for the both of us. Others were just curious to see what's happening. Conclusion : I will never say no in helping animals! Offer any help! They would certainly appreciate it!. You know what? Please consider this. I think It is very logic and very interesting. Now, it's 2010, you go to a hawker stall, you see a chicken rice stall, with chickens hanging. At 2015, what it is that would replace chickens? It is rabbits? Dogs? or maybe cats? ... OH GOSH...
